Ayurvedic Cure for Tinnitus

Ayurveda tinnitus cureIn ayurveda, tinnitus is known as Karnanada. In this, a ringing noise is heard either in one ear or both the ears or in the head in the absence of any external sound. It is often referred to as “ringing in the ears”, but it differs from person to person because some people hear hissing, roaring, whistling, chirping, or clicking. The ringing can be of different forms. It may be intermittent or constant, it may be with single or multiple tones-and its volume may also differ.

According to Ayurveda, tinnitus is a symptom of prana vayu disturbance. Prana vayu is a subdosha of vata. This resides in the head and is responsible for all higher cerebral functions.

There are several reasons for the cause of this disease. The reasons are as follows

  • Lack of proper sleep

  • Excess bitter substances like medicines or vegetables
  • Excess cereals in the food which are also difficult to digest
  • Over indulgence in sex results in depletion of dhatus ( minerals ) and this is also a reason for the cause of tinnitus
